The famed Belgian Malinois canine breed which guards the White House in the United States will now be a part of the Madhya Pradesh Police dog squad. Two Belgian Malinois dogs were inducted into the 23rd Battalion Dog Squad of the state police force. They will undergo a training programme which will last for nine months. Known for their excellent smelling power, Belgian Malinois dogs are used by security agencies around the world. They were a part of the US Navy Seals team that killed terrorist Osama Bin Laden. In India, they are already in use for anti-poaching and Naxalite operations.
