People across the country have expressed their desire to name roads, airports and lot more after the legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. However, this person from Indore decided to name the desserts served on his wedding after the iconic freedom fighters.

According to a report in News18, the groom identified as “Rahul Inqalab,” had desired to have a unique wedding with a specific theme. Hence, he made the decision of having a wedding dedicated to the revolutionary freedom fighters who contributed immensely in the Indian freedom struggle and gave up their lives in the process. The daily reported that the theme of the wedding that was held on May 1 was also dedicated to the freedom fighters.

Not just the theme of the wedding but the even the desserts in the menu were named after the freedom fighters. Rasgullas were named after Shaheed Bhagat Singh since he apparently loved the dessert. Aamkhand was named after Rajguru and golgappe were named after Ganesh Shankar.

Apart from the theme and the desserts, the guest lists also comprised of the relatives of the freedom fighters who lost their lives in the independence movement. It is being reported that the Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad and Ashfaqullah Khan’s relatives were also invited to this unique wedding.

The grooms fascination with the freedom fighter was to the level that he did not refrain from changing his own name to Rahul Inqalab. Needless to say that the songs that dominated the wedding were that of the patriotic songs including Vande Matram from patriotic films. Slogans like “Inqalab Zindabad” were also chanted during the wedding.
