Madras High Court allows Pepsi, Coke to use water from Tamiraparani river

In what could be a minor relief for the Cola brand companies, the Madras High court on March 2 have allowed Pepsi and Coca-Cola to use water from the Tamiraparani river in the state of Tamil Nadu. This comes days the American companies faced protests from the local traders barred Pepsi and Coke from using water from the river. The person who filed a petition in the court had asserted that the company has been exploiting local resources for commercial purpose. Read More

ABVP activists chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ in DU

The protest march called by Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists are underway in North Campus at Delhi University seeking a campus ban on Leftist groups.  They are taking out this protest march days after Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University took to street from Khalsa College to Faculty of Arts in North Campus to protests against the violence that took place in Ramjas College on February 22. The reason behind the clashes was an invite extended to JNU students Umar Khalid—who is facing sedition charge—and Shehla Rashid to address a seminar. The seminar was withdrawn by the college authorities following opposition by the ABVP. Read More

Rohit Sharma set to make a comeback after injury!

Rohit Sharma has been away from cricket field for a while. Rohit has not played a single match after 5th ODI against New Zealand in 2016 which held three months back. He has been raring to get back into the action and has been pretty vocal about it through his Twitter handle. He announced his return via tweet as he will be playing for Mumbai on March 4 and 6 in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. His first game upon return will be against Andhra on March 4. Read More
