Twitter reacts to 'biggest & most brazen electoral-fraud' as EC cancels RK Nagar by-polls

As the Election Commission cancelled the RK Nagar by-polls, Twitterati lashed at TN government and termed the incident as the most brazen electoral-fraud

The Election Commission on April 9 cancelled the RK Nagar election after alleged misuse of power leaving the Sasikala Natarajan camp fuming. While cancelling the polls, the election commission affirmed that the situation unfavourable to hold elections.

While TTV Dinakaran asserted that the election commission had taken a wrong decision and there was no need to cancel the election adding that EC did not want him to win, most of the parties welcomed the move.

This after income tax raids found that voters were given money in exchange for a vote. The by-elections in RK Nagar became pertinent after former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa passed away in the month of December who represented it for two terms. Naturally, Twitter erupted with reactions and lashed out at the Tamil Nadu government for not playing fair elections and allegedly using money power.
