UN invites Ram Rahim and Honeypreet to ‘lend support’ on World Toilet Day; both are in prison

United Nations Twitter handles has urged Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and Honeypreet Insan to join them on World Toilet Day

United Nations has invited rape convict Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and his close aide Honeypreet Insan to join them in their campaign on ‘World Toilet Day’. The tweet hints that it is quite possible that the UN is completely unaware that both of them are behind the bars at the moment.

The development comes just a day after Honeypreet Insan was arrested by the Haryana police almost a month after a lookout notice was issued against her. Honeypreet who calls herself as “papa’s angel” had also made to Haryana polices’ most wanted list. On the other hand, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was sentenced to 20 years in prison for raping two of his female devotees.

The Haryana Police is currently interrogating Honeypreet in connection with the violence that broke out after a special CBI court convicted Ram Rahim in a 15-year-old rape case. Here’s what the UN water posted on their official twitter handle on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Honeypreet Insan surfaced on television channels and broke her silence on all the allegations levelled against her a month after she went missing. Refuting the allegations of having an illicit relationship with her “papa” Ram Rahim, Honeypreet Insan affirmed that their relationship is “pure”.

She also said that she was shocked and was not in her correct mental state when she went absconding after Ram Rahim’s conviction. She has also maintained that all the accusations against Ram Rahim were untrue and he could not be pronounced guilty on the basis of an anonymous letter. “Where have you seen me speak even a word on riots. I was so depressed after the court’s verdict. I went into depression. I only, like any daughter of any family would have, went with my father”, Honeypreet told a leading news daily.
