In a bizarre incident, a student of Ravindra Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya in Gonda district, Uttar Pradesh, was allegedly issued an admit card with the picture of Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan. Amit Dwivedi, who studies Bachelor of Education at the institute, was issued the admit card by the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University in Faizabad district and, as hilarious someone may find it, it has whipped-up a barrage of troubles for him.
The Big B-faux pas kept Dwivedi from appearing for his examinations. He was only permitted to sit for the exams after he presented additional documents. “I have filled the second year examination form correctly with my picture but after I received the admit card, it had a picture of Amitabh Bachchan. I have been allowed to write the examination after submitting additional documents. However, now I am worried about my mark sheet which might also have Amitabh Bachchan’s picture,” said Dwivedi.

However, according to the college administration, the blunder could also have been at Dwivedi’s end, adding that the error could have possibly occurred at the internet cafe where the student had filled up the application form.
Speaking to ANI, Gurpendra Mishra, a senior official of Ravindra Singh Smarak Mahavidyalaya said, “Amit is a regular student of our college and had filled his examination form. It is possible that he or the internet cafe from where he filled up the form committed the error. There is also a possibility that University might have erred.”
