A woman was allegedly pushed down from the rooftop by her husband after she refused his call to dance at a Wedding function. The shocking incident took place in Dighwat village of UP’s Banda district on Saturday night.
According to Times of India, Vishakha Tiwari (28) and her husband Ajay of Khaptiha village had gone to attend a marriage function of her cousin. During a ritual that involved dancing by couples, her husband forced her to dance with him and other guests. She refused to do so inviting the anger of her husband who in a fit of rage threw her down from rooftop. The woman got both her legs fractured and also sustained injuries on her hands and stomach, the TOI report said. The woman was rushed to the district hospital. Meanwhile, the police have registered a case against the husband and the statement of the woman has been recorded.
“The police have recorded her statement and further investigations are on,” station house officer, Civil Lines, Sanjay Singh told Times of India .

The incident took place last week in Sapnadar village under Mainpat development block of the district, Surguja Additional Superintendent of Police Ramkrishna Sahu told PTI.
