The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has a special team which is an indispensable part of their rescue operations – an 18-member canine squad. The 13 Labradors and 5 German Shepherds are the trained soldiers who help in searching and rescuing people who are stuck during disasters and calamities. These dogs are brought to the camp when they are just 3 months old. After three months, their training begins in which they are taught how to detect trapped victims during disasters. The dogs are given the best food, accommodation and healthcare. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of these adorable soldiers, NDRF has a long list of achievements.
