Beleaguered business tycoon Vijay Mallya grabbed the headlines yet again after he was spotted at the India vs Pakistan match at Edgbaston on Sunday. He was severely criticised for attending the match at a time when he is repeatedly rejecting the court summons issued to him in connection with loans worth Rs 9000 crore that he has defaulted on. After being in news for the last two days, Mallya on Tuesday took to Twitter claiming that he intends to watch all games to cheer the Indian team. “Wide sensational media coverage on my attendance at the IND v PAK match at Edgbaston. I intend to attend all games to cheer the India team,” he tweeted.

Mallya fled India on March 2, 2016 after defaulting loans to the tune of Rs 9000 crore. He was recently arrested by the Scotland Yard in London. However, he was released on bail within hours by a London court.
His comment has generated a buzz on social media with Twitterati daring him to return to India and pay back the loans that he owes to the banks.
Boss repaying the loan and returning to India will cheer the whole Indian nation.

Because of you all the poor people in India are suffering. You can cheer them if you visit India and pay the loans.

You're a traitor to India. We don't need your cheering.

Nothing sensational in the coverage. Just normal coverage by media on persons who are in the news – for honorable or dubious reasons.

Hopefully they will allow a TV in Tihar in time for the next Champions' Trophy. You can cheer at leisure.

The Indian government has been in touch with the administration at the United Kingdom to extradite Vijay Mallya. However, extraditing him involves a series of steps including a decision by the judge on whether or not a warrant of arrest is necessary. He was recently arrested by the Scotland Yard in London but was released on bail within hours by a London court. There have been several notices by agencies and courts for Mallya to appear for the hearings.
