Speaking about the mystery surrounding Jayalalithaa’s death, Panneerslevam said that he could not speculate about Amma’s death and it was only the medical experts who could comment on that. However, he affirmed that it was their duty to find answers about Jayalalithaa’s death adding that her demise was a shock since people with her had assured that she was recovering. Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa Jayakumar has made similar claims and have come out to say that she was not allowed to meet her aunt when she was undergoing treatment at the Apollo hospital in Chennai.

Sasikala has also alleged that Panneerselvam is joining hands with the opposition parties. “No confusion or problem in our party, we are united like a family,” Sasikala said. The development comes days after the AIADMK elected Sasikala as the Legislature party leader and announced that she will be the next Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
