Gujarat Home Minister Pradip Jadeja became the latest victim of shoe attack. A man who has been identified as Gopal Italia hurled shoe at the minister while he was addressing to reporters outside the main door of the Gujarat legislative assembly complex in Gandhinagar, however, it missed the minister and the accused was later arrested by the police.
After the incident, Italia said, “The shoe signifies the anger of the unemployed youth of Gujarat,”. As per some reports, he had previously spoken to Nitin Patel, Deputy Chief Minister regarding dissatisfaction of the youth over unemployment.
The youth dressed in red checked shirt and jeans hurled a shoe at the minister but he managed to escape. The accused after hurling a shoe tried to approach the minister but security officers caught him from behind and took him from there. After the incident, minister continued addressing the media persons.
Earlier, there were reports of in India Today, “that the 27-year-old man was taken into custody by the police. Gopal, claimed that he raised the issue of liquor mafia with the home minister but Pradeep ignored his complaints”.

In the past, too, many ministers have been the victim of shoe attack. Few days back, someone hurled a shoe at the Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal while he was reportedly attending a Sangat Darshan in the Lambi district of Punjab.
