Minister made the insensitive remark in front of the worker and entire incident was captured on the mobile phone

In a shocking incident, a Minister in Yogi Adityanath government Satyadev Pachauri mistreated a differently-abled staff during a surprise visit. In a video that has surfaced, Pachauri who is a Minister of Khadi and Village Industries is seen asking officials why the job for cleaning was assigned to a differently abled person.

Pachuari found a large amount of dirt at a Khadi Gramodyog Board’s office in Lucknow after which the entire office was ordered to be locked and the officials were asked to be with him during the inspection. He then called all the sanitation workers who are responsible for cleaning.

On seeing a disabled man, he questioned officials why a handicapped person like him has been given the job, Pachauri said, “Loolhe langdon ko kaam pe rakha hai, Kya kaam karega yeh’ (You have assigned him a job, what work will he do?). He then told officials that this is the reason why there is so much of dirt on the premises. made the insensitive remark in front of the worker and entire incident was captured on the mobile. He then went on ask how much money is given to the worker for cleaning, to which the official replied Rs 4,000.

Minister who represents Kanpur’s Govind Nagar constituency in Uttar Pradesh assembly made the insensitive remark in front of the worker and entire incident was captured on the mobile. He then went on ask how much money is given to the worker for cleaning, to which the official replied Rs 4,000.

The incident has come after Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his radio address ‘Mann Ki Baat’ in December last year had said that differently-abled people should be called divyaang (person with divine ability) instead of viklang.
