When a man from Pakistan said his 4-month-old son’s ‘heart beats’ for Sushma Swaraj

The Pakistani man requested Sushma Swaraj to open doors for more of his countrymen who are waiting for medical visas

A man from Pakistan who’s four-month-old baby Rohaan is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Noida has said that his son’s “heart beats for External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj. Kamal Siddiqui from Pakistan had requested an Indian visa for his son’s treatment. The four-month-old boy had been brought to Noida on July 12 and was operated on July 14.

“The heart of my child beats today for Madam Sushma Swaraj. I would like to request her to open doors for those Pakistanis who have been waiting for medical visas. It is my humble request,” Siddiqui said.

Siddiqui had reached out to Sushma Swaraj and Sartaj Aziz, foreign affairs advisor to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, saying that his son was suffering due to a delay in his medical treatment. He had sought intervention on May 22 from the two leaders by tweeting: “Why my bud suffers for medical treatment!! Any answers Sir Sartaj Aziz or Maam Sushma??”

The boy is being treated at the Jaypee Hospital who stated that Rohaan was suffering from “D-transportation of great arteries with abnormal origin of main arteries from opposite chambers with multiple VSD and severe pulmonary hypertension”. The treatment is being sone by a team of doctors led by Dr Rajesh Sharma.

“Rohaan had a hole in his heart and the aorta, that is on the left side of the heart was coming from the right side. Pulmonary arteries were coming from the left side which was exactly the opposite of the structure of the body. Due to multiple VSD, oxygen less blood was flowing in his body and his body was turning blue,” the doctors said adding that it was because of this that he would have trouble breathing and had pneumonia.

The family will return to Pakistan after getting a green signal from the doctors who are treating him.
