On Saturday night, the Ahmedabad-Puri Express left from Odisha’s Titlagarh station. But what was extremely peculiar and bizarre is the fact that the train ran without an engine. In a shocking incident of gross negligence, 22 coaches of the Ahmedabad-Puri Express rolled backward without the engine’s support. The coaches moved in the wrong direction till Kesinga station where the alert staff stopped them by placing stones on track. The mishap occurred after the driver allegedly failed to secure the wheels of coaches with skids at the station
Thankfully, no one was injured during the free run. Soon, the Railways flung into action and suspended 7 employees, including the two drivers of the train.
