Bigg Boss makers have got a very violent man in the House. Inmates should be scared. On the very first day of the show Swami Omji Maharaj bragged about kicking a woman for wearing skimpy clothes. Maharaj narrated the story in the presence of Deepika Padukone, who was on the sets of Bigg Boss to promote her upcoming Hollwood film. He said: “I kicked her as she was wearing transperant and provocative clothes. But the kick turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Her back pain went away.” The woman he was talking about was apparently his disciple. He claimed she was a Hollywood actress and he met her in India.
Maharaj has has a proven track-record of making provocative statements and professing violence. He broke into a fight on national TV with a woman. He claims to be a member of the Hindu Mahasabha. He has on record said that he takes pride in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi as “he was behind the partition of India”.
He also contested elections from Palika Bazaar constituency in the 2014 Assembly Elections. However, he always wore BJP cap. Back then, he openly gave death threats to Arvind Kejriwal. In an interview to a news channel he said: “On January 21, 2014 I entered Kejriwal’s residence and beat him up. I made a big mistake by introducing him to Anna Hazare. Then I didn’t know that he is such an anti-national…I am not a sadhu who sits in the temple, if need be I can take a gun shoot down all anti-nationals.”
He was also the one who gave death threats to environmental activist Vimlendu Jha for opposing Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Art of Living event. Jha was fighting against AOL’s World Culutural Festival as the construction caused permanent damage to the banks of Yamuna river. However, according to Maharaj, by trying to stop the event, he was acting against Hindu religion.
Should a man with such a track record be on national TV?
