Amid the protesting school teachers in Bihar demanding an increase in the pay and better service conditions, the Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to declare the results of class 10 and 12 board exam either by the end of May or in the first week of June.
According to Hindustan Times, the chairman of the board Anand Kishor said the evaluation is in the last stage and the results will be put out soon. “Despite a lot of problems during the start of the evaluation process, we have made up for the lost time and hope to publish results by May-end,” said Anand Kishor.
The evaluation process got delayed after about 22, 000 secondary teachers started the agitation ‘Shiksha Satyagraha’ from April 1. They were also joined by about 15, 000 teachers from aided institutions.
Meanwhile, as per a report in the Firstpost, the results of Class 12 science and commerce streams will be declared on Wednesday (May 17). The students can check their marks by logging on the official website of the Bihar board www.biharboard.ac.in.
BSEB secretary Anup Kumar Sinha said, “Had there been no agitation, we would have been in a position to publish results by now. Despite the delay, we have made up for lost time in the last 15 days”.
The result will appear on the screen after the student puts his/her name, roll number and other required details. More than 13 lakh people appeared for class 12th exam which got over on February 25, and Class 10th exam that ended on March 12, around 16 lakh students appeared.
