The season’s first fog enveloped the national capital on Wednesday making visibility almost minimal, bringing the morning traffic to a sluggish pace.
The fog has also hit flights and trains with many of them having been cancelled or re-scheduled. Thirteen flights have been diverted so far from Delhi’s IGI airport. The Met has feared that fog is likely to spike the already high pollution levels in the national capital.
The minimum temperature in Delhi has fallen sharply to 9.7 degree Celsius. On Tuesday morning, the national capital recorded minimum temperature of 9.7°C, which is also the lowest temperature of the season so far.
