Woman kidnaps 'lover' at gunpoint from his wedding in Uttar Pradesh

A few days back, a similar incident happened in Kanpur when a woman turned up at the wedding of her alleged lover with a pistol and claimed groom to be her husband

In a scene straight out of a Bollywood movie, a woman turned up at the marriage of her lover as she could not see him getting married to someone else and kidnapped him from the mandap. The incident took place on Tuesday in  Bundelkhand area in Uttar Pradesh.

According to a report in NDTV, the woman had come to the venue with two young men and kidnapped the groom from the mandap when the couple was getting ready for the pheras. According to the locals, the groom, Ashok Yadav met his alleged lover some months back at work and some of them also said that he secretly got married to the girl.

After he did not get approval from his family, under pressure he agreed to marry a girl of their choice. Meanwhile, there is still no information about the groom.

After this shocking incident, the father of  Ashok Yadav, Ramhet Yadav said to guests, “There was definitely something suspicious about my son. When I tried to visit him in the town where he worked, he would not invite me to his home. Instead, we would meet at a temple and feed me at a food stall near there and then send me home.”The bride’s family has registered a case of kidnapping for the groom. While police officials have promised justice

A complaint has been filed by the bride’s family in the case of abduction of the groom. A few days back, a similar incident happened in Kanpur when a woman turned up at the wedding of her alleged lover with a pistol and claimed groom to be her husband. After which, the marriage was called off.
