Married just 7 days ago, a woman in Amritsar has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to hang her husband to death. The 23-year-old woman resides in the green avenue area of Amritsar in Punjab. Complaining to the Prime Minister, she wrote that her husband has made her life hell. She also added that her husband is like an animal to her.
She alleged that she was lured into a relationship on the pretext of getting married to him. She claimed that she was sexually assaulted for seven months and then abandoned her. When she approached the police to file a complaint against him for his misdeeds, she was forced to get married to him.
The woman has written in her letter that they got married in a temple and he took her to a rented place. However, he fled away just seven days into the marriage. She claims that he only got married to her to avoid going to the jail.

The two got married on July 7. The woman alleges that her parents in law are lying when in claiming that they have distanced themselves from him because they were present for the wedding and even gave her their blessings. “I have got no justice from Amritsar police,” she said.
The police asserted that they are looking into the matter and assured that the woman will get justice. “I have recommended the case to the woman police station. There will be investigation and action in the case, SP east Prabhjot Singh said.
