Chaotic scenes were witnessed on the MG road in Gurugram on Saturday night after women employees of a pub beat up an alleged molester with slippers in full public view. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media. The incident occurred on MG Road when a man in an inebriated condition went up to a woman employee of a pub and allegedly grabbed her from behind.
Soon after, her colleagues rushed to her rescue and started thrashing him with slippers. Several people with mobile phones recorded the fight and the videos have been going viral on the internet since. Eyewitnesses have alleged that there were no policemen around when the incident took place.

As per a report in Mail Today, a witness said: “There was hardly any police presence on MG Road when this incident happened. Onlookers were busy shooting the fight on their cameras.”
Another witness also claimed that some drunk men repeatedly made obscene gestures to the women standing outside the Sahara mall. When one of the men approached them, it was followed by heated arguments and commotion.

However, the police claim otherwise. “We have deployed male and female constables in civil dress to take action against miscreants. We have issued strict directions to police personnel to file an FIR forthwith if the victim approaches police,” Manish Sehgal, ACP and PRO of Gurgaon Police said.
Infamous for these late-night tiffs, the MG road has often witnessed similar incidents of misbehaviour. This stretch of road in Gurugram has also been in the several times for open sex trade and crimes against women.
