'Ye to hona hi tha': Twitter in splits as AAP faces humiliating defeat in Rajouri Garden bypoll

Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) suffered a humiliating defeat in Rajouri Garden bypoll. Here's how Twitter reacted

In a major blow to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) lost Rajouri Garden bypolls Bharatiya Janata Party  (BJP). BJP-SAD joint candidate Manjinder Singh Sirsa swept off 40,602 seats, which was over 50 per cent of the total votes followed by Congress’ Meenakshi Chandela who finished second with 25,950
votes.

AAP not only lost the bypolls by managing to bag only 10,243 votes but lost its deposit as well. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia asserted that moving Jarnail Singh from Rajouri to contest Punjab elections could be one of the reasons of Aam Aadmi Party’s defeat in the Rajouri Garden bypolls. Naturally, Twitter erupted with jokes soon after the results were declared.

While some questioned how AAP managed to bag the 10,243 votes, some went ahead and poked at Kejriwal. Have a look:

Will this humiliating loss cost Arvind Kejriwal Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections too?
