Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N Chandrababu Naidu has asked married couples to have more children. He came up with this unique idea in order to reduce the increasing dependency on robots in today’s’ world. Naidu said in coming time the state will have more aged people than the youngsters, just like Japan.
At a gathering after inaugurating an 18-km padayatra from Velivennu village in West Godavari to create awareness on the ‘Smart Village and Smart Ward’ concept, the Chief Minister, made the statement saying,
Though I advocated family planning earlier and I myself limited my family to a son, I find that there is not much benefit due to it now. I see many aged people in our villages. I want our state to have more young people to develop it.

He went on to say that balance was important as if there was a scarcity of youngsters, like the way it’s being witnessed by some countries such as Japan, then we would have to employ robots instead of humans.
