7 Lipstick Hacks You Literally Never Thought Of

We have found the perfect hacks to help you get the most of the latest lip colour trends and your favourite lip colour because lipsticks are the most legit part of your makeup kit.

Hack #1: For ultra-smooth lips

Things you need: lip balm, a toothbrush (could be an old one)

What you need to do:

1. Apply lip balm generously on your lips.
2. Use your old or new toothbrush and brush your lips to remove dead skin.
3. Now remove all the excess lip balm.
4. You are left with nice soft lips.

Hack #2: How to use the last tiny bit of your lipstick

Things you need: Your favourite lipstick which has just a tiny bit left, a spoon, candle, spatula, lens case

What to do:

Scoop out the last bit of your favourite lipstick using a spatula.

1. Place the scooped out lipstick on a spoon.
2. Now place the spoon over the flame of a candle.
3. Wait till the lipstick melts into a liquid.
4. Once it melts, pour the lipstick into the lens case.
5. Allow it cool down.
6. Voila, you can apply the remaining lipstick using a brush.

Hack# 3: What to do when your natural lip colour interferes with your nude lipstick

Things you need: Foundation or concealer, a brush to apply

What to do:

1. Apply concealer or foundation on your lips using a brush.
2. Now apply your nude lipstick to get its true shade.

Hack #4: When you want your nude lipstick (closest to your skin colour) to last long

Things you need: a neutral lip gloss

What to do:

1. Apply a lip gloss over your nude lipstick to make it last longer and give it a new life.

Hack #5: The right way to line your lip

Things you need: a really sharp lip liner, lipstick

What to do:

1. First things first, smile to stretch your lips.
2. Draw an ‘x’ on your cupid spot. Now draw two lines down.
3. Follow the 2 lines and draw dots on the lower and upper lip.
   Draw a line connecting all the dots.
4. Apply lipstick.

Hack #5: When you want to define your lip

Things you need: a concealer and a flat definer brush

What to do:

1. This hack works wonders to define your lip as well as clean any extra lipstick.
2. Apply concealer to outline your lips using a flat definer brush.
3. Blend the concealer well.
4. Voila, you have the perfect drawn lips.

Hack #6: how to perfect the gradient lip trend

Things you need: a lip liner lighter than your lip colour.

What to do:

1. Find a lip pencil lighter than your lip colour.
2. Apply that colour into the centre.
3. Press your lips to smoothen it.

Hack #7: When you want your lips darker on the edges

Things you need: lip colour, eyeshadow, a small brush

What to do:

1. Using a small brush, apply eyeshadow on the edges of your lips.
2. This will prevent your lip colour from bleeding.
3. And also create a nice gradient effect.

Last but not least, to make your lipstick last longer, use a translucent powder and a tissue. Place the tissue on your lips and apply translucent powder with a big, fluffy powder.
