Black fever dominated GQ Awards: Yami Gautam, Prachi Desai among best dressed

The 8th edition of the GQ Best Dressed Awards was held on June 3 and it was high on fashion event with all the Bollywood bigwigs in attendance. From Anil Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Radhika Apte and Arjun Kapoor to Sidharth Malhotra, Tiger Shroff, Shruti Haasan, and Varun Dhawan, the awards night saw all the celebrities flaunting their fashionable side. While some made us go wow, others made us wonder, ‘What were they thinking while finalising the dress?’ From flowy gowns to sassy dresses, we got to see many new trends at the event. But one thing that caught our attention is the selection of colour, as most of the beauties chose to play it safe by opting for colour black and totally nailed it.

While we already told you about Shraddha Kapoor, Shruti Haasan and Swara Bhaskar’s black dress disasters. Here’s a look at some of the best-dressed actresses, who rocked the colour black like a pro:

Yami Gautam

Styled by Allia Al Rufai, the actress wore an elegant short black dress, with red, blue and white stripes all over it. Wearing minimal accessories, she paired the outfit with black tie up stilettos and completed the look with neutral makeup and hair tied neatly in a ponytail.

Rhea Chakraborty

Wearing a plain black thigh-high slit dress, the actress looked super hot and stunning. Styled by Sanam Ratansi, Rhea rocked the look with a matching statement bracelet and let her bold smokey eyes do the talking. With her hair left open on the right and braided on the left, the actress completed the look with black stilettos sandals from ALDO.

Wearing a fusion black Atsu Sekhose number, Prachi looked super glamorous. Ditching the accessories, she kept it simple and paired the outfit with snake print pointed pumps.

The actress looked like a million bucks, as she posed for the cameras in a black sweetheart neck thigh-high slit dress from Sassi Holford. Styled by Tanya Vohra, Saiyami paired the outfit with a black Rado watch and completed her look with matching heels from Christian Louboutin.
