Breaking stereotypes: This designer proves 'dusky is always beautiful' and we are amazed

Most of us fail to understand that every skin colour is unique in its own way and designer Ayush Kejriwal is here to make us understand that

Beauty lies in the eyes of a beholder’, do we really understand the meaning of this phrase? Sadly, no. And unfortunately, we Indians are one of the largest consumers and promoters of fairness creams because agree or not, we are obsessed with fair skin. We fail to understand the fact that dark is beautiful and every skin colour is unique in its own way. Though many things are constantly being said and promoted by people around, sadly there are only some who believe in the power of it. And one of them who is here to bring a positive change is a UK-based designer — Ayush Kejriwal.

In fact, in one of his posts, Ayush said, ‘Many times I get messages asking me to suggest something for someone who is dark skinned. It breaks my heart when people choose not to wear something they want. Society, people’s opinion or Bollywood celebrities should not dictate what we wear. I am a designer but I have never thought about skin colours when making clothes. I ask all you lovely people to rise above this prejudice and embrace who you are.
