Here’s the thing: When you think of Indian television, especially soap operas, fashion, and aesthetics are the last thing that’ll come to your mind! Here’s why: Overly-bright lips, unnecessarily huge jewelry, horrible hair and makeup and sarees brighter than your future.

While youth targeted shows like Spiltsvilla are failing at fashion, there’s a TV show on prime time telly that has absolutely won us over: Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai!

Yes, the daily soap caught our fancy when we noticed the stunning Indian attires and soon enough realised literally everyone in the show has their outfit, makeup, and hair on point! The best thing about their looks is that they aren’t over the top, which is a blessing for our eyes (no seriously, we’re done with all those shiny outfits). Here’s a comprehensive breakdown of their style files:
