Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone Look Ethereal In Their Met Gala 2018 Appearance

While Priyanka Chopra’s iconic overlong trench coat and Deepika Padukone’s white pearl gown from Met Gala stole headlines in 2017, the two actresses made sure their looks this year screamed drama.

Since the theme of the event was ‘Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination’, both the fashionistas chose to go for hues of red and made grand appearances.

Priyanka Chopra opted for a custom-made crimson strapless velvet gown by Ralph Lauren. The outfit was completely handcrafted with a bejewelled gold-embroidered hood, embellished with Swarovski crystals and meticulous beadwork that took over 250 hours to make.

Priyanka completed her look with a vintage hairdo, shimmery gold eye make-up and bold red lips. But the star of the evening was PeeCee’s chainmail coif that makes her look like a knight. Her flamboyant fashion choices have oft found their way to headlines, but it seems her Met Gala appearances will be talked about for years to come.

Deepika Padukone’s Met Gala 2018 outfit, on the other hand, was slightly more on the safer side. Nevertheless, Padukone’s beauty looked as elegant as always in the Prabal Gurung cardinal silk crepe strapless thigh-high slit gown. With hand-draped silk gazar sculptural shoulder bloom and a side-draped chapel train, Deepika owned the red carpet.

With her hair combed back, Deepika went for a dewy make-up and bright red lips. She completed her look with matching red heels from Christian Louboutin and opted for a pair of exquisite diamond earrings from Tasaki.

Well, it won’t be wrong to say that while Priyanka went all out, keeping to the Met Gala 2018 theme, Deepika looked elegant as always.
