It was only a couple of days ago that singer Sonu Nigam sparked controversy with his tweets regarding the Azaan and loud speaker. Soon, singer’s tweet became a topic of heated debate and discussions thereby leaving the fraternity as well as fans divided over Sonu Nigam’s statement over Azaan, Islam, and loudspeakers. Soon, it came to the notice of Vice President of West Bengal Minority United Council Syed Sha Atef Ali Quaderi who issued a fatwa against the singer.
Condemning Sonu’s viewpoint, Syed Sha went on to say, “If anyone can shave his hair, put a garland of old torn shoes around his neck and tour him around the country I personally announce an award of Rs 10 lakh for that person.” It seems Sonu Nigam took notice of the statement and decided to shave his head. Yes, the popular singer called a press conference in Mumbai and decided to speak about the whole controversy in detail.

When asked about him getting his head shaved, Sonu Nigam stated that he is ready to get it done. His friend Aalim Hakim was there to do the deed. Sonu took to his social media account and wrote, “Today at 2pm Aalim will come to my place, and shave my head. Keep your 10 lakhs ready Maulavi.

He further added, “And Press is welcome to participate at 2pm.” The popular singer wanted to prove that his tweet was directed to the loudspeakers and not to the azaan.
