Winter is coming. While everyone in Winterfell feared the season and the ‘long night’ that came along with it (hope you got the Game of Thrones reference right), people in north India are welcoming the change in weather especially after the endless summer months. Winter means different things to different people. For some, it’s the time to party and for others like me, it’s the time to munch on loads of food, especially desserts.
I was out searching for ‘something good’ to eat when I spotted a fancy looking bakery near the Botanical Garden Metro Station that seemed to offer a lot more than just cakes. As I stepped inside, tempted by the possibility of the dishes that this place would offer, I was astounded not just by the variety of food (cakes, cookies, salads, pasta and sandwiches) but also their price. So, for the eighth edition of ‘Best thing I ate this week under Rs 100‘, we will take you on a trip to have the best dish in under Rs 100 to Noida’s Sector 38. And it’s time to eat a White Chocolate Pastry.

How I got there: The good thing about this place is that it is well within the reach of anyone travelling by the Delhi Metro. And even if you are travelling by the road, this bakery is located within the compound of the Botanical Garden Metro Station. As far as I am concerned, I was in the vicinity looking for ‘something good’ (unsure of what that ‘something’ was) when I spotted this place.

About the place: As I mentioned earlier, this place seems just like one of those ostentatious bakeries from American TV shows. But luckily for me, while the menu was indeed flattering, the price wasn’t. It’s a place anyone can enjoy without worrying about their monthly budget. Bonus: The interiors are lovely!

What I ate: I was looking at the amazing cakes and pastries on display when an item called ‘white chocolate pastry’ caught my attention. Being chocolate fan I know that playing with white chocolate can be tricky and not everyone gets it right. But to my amazement, the pastry was just perfect. The bland flavour of the white chocolate was balanced by the tartness of the blueberry jam used in multiple layers. All in all my taste buds were satisfied and my heart was happy on having this amazing dessert.
