Piping hot dal, chawal and aachar, a hearty lunch by all means is what locals in Noida have come to expect from a pop-up food joint at an unbelievably low price. Noida based social activist Anoop Khanna runs Dadi Ki Rasoi, where he serves home-cooked food for just Rs 5. He operates rasoi at two locations in Noida, Sector 17 (10 am to 11.30 pm) and Sector 29 (12.30 pm to 2 pm).
Anoop Khanna started Dadi Ki Rasoi in 2015 and after his mother asked him to do something for the underprivileged. It is not just dal and chawal that they serve at this makeshift pop-up. They have around 8 to 10 varieties including chane ki dal, lobhiya, rajma, arhar dal, kaale channe and chole. On Saturdays, they make soybean, while serving khichdi on Sundays.
Where: Noida Sector 17: 10 am to 11.30 pm
Noida Sector 29 (Ganga Shopping Complex): 12.30 pm to 2 pm
