People from all around the globe try to enter the Guinness World Records, with the craziest stunts. Setting world records is no simple task, requiring a lot of practise, and when it comes to food records, quite a large appetite. Which is why we have rounded up the best Guinness Book of World Food Record.

1. Most Big Macs eaten in a lifetime
Donald Gorske ate around 14 Big Macs for the last 44 years and broke the record in 2016 by eating his 28,788th. He started in 1972 and since then kept all of the variations of the cartons in his home.
2. Most juice extracted from grapes by treading
Martina Servaty from Germany hold her name to the record of most juice extracted by treading grapes in two minutes. The total juice extracted was 8.6 litres.
3. The largest scoop of ice-cream
Kemps LLC (USA) created the largest scoop of ice-cream weighed 1365 kg – 312.93 g on 28 June 2014. It was the strawberry flavored 5’ 6” tall and 6’ 2” wide ice-cream scoop.
4. Drinking one litre of lemon juice using a straw
Dennis “The Menace” Bermudez drank one litre of lemon juice through a straw in 22.75 seconds on 17 May 2016.
5. Drinking ketchup
Andre Ortolf, a German, drank a bottle of ketchup in 32 seconds for 396 grams. The record was achieved in 2016.
6. Most Ferrero Rocher chocolates eaten in one minute
Peter Czerwinski in Mississauga, Ontario, on January 4, 2012, ate 9 Ferrero Rocher in one minute. Later, Patrick Bertoletti at Sierra Studios equaled the record on January 14, 2012.
7. The most grapes stuffed into a mouth
Dinesh Shivnath Upadhyaya from Mumbai broke his own world record for the largest amount of seedless grapes in his mouth at the same time. In 2012, the record was 79, while in 2015, it was 88. Dinesh also holds the record for the most grapes eaten in one minute which is 73.
8. The largest chapati ever made
India’s Dagdu Seth Ganpati Sarvajanik Mahotsav on 22 September 2012 made the largest chapati weighing 145 kg. The chapati was made on a metal plate measuring 10 ft by 10 ft.
9. The longest dosa record
A team of 29 chefs prepared the longest dosa measuring 16.68 10.metre (54 ft 8.69 in) in Hyderabad on 16 November 2014. The dosa had a total weight of 13.69 kg.
10. The record-breaking khichdi
A 50-member team set a world record of cooking 918 kg khichdi at the World Food India event in New Delhi in 2017. The khichdi was prepared with 125 kg rice, 45 kg moong dal, 20 kg vegetables, 6.5 kg salt, and several kilograms of jowar and bajra.
