With New Year parties just around the corner, University of Oxford has given good news to all boozers and party lovers. A recent study by the university claimed that drinking alcohol is essential for good health. So now the drink parties will have another reason to celebrate and if somebody suggests you not to drink, quoting this study can tell them the reason.
Conducted by Robin Dunbar, a psychologist, and director of Oxford University’s social and evolutionary neuroscience research group, the study says “to be healthy all US men should booze with their friends at least twice a week.”

Stressing on the benefits of male friendship, Dunbar stated that male friendships include a stronger immune system, the release of endorphins, an overall decrease in anxiety levels, and even higher levels of generosity.
He further mentioned that bonds can be formed through a range of activities from team sports to male banter — or simply having a pint with your pals on a Friday night. After hearing over and over just how much of a downer drinking alcohol can be for your health, this latest study has just shown us the other side of the coin.
Now, it is scientifically proven that boozing on occasion does have perks. But, do remember something is good for health only if it is taken in moderation. Excess of anything or everything does harm.

When you drink, alcohol is absorbed into your bloodstream and distributed throughout your body. Thus, its consumption causes physical and emotional changes that can do great harm to your body.
Moreover, the long-term effects of alcohol abuse can put your health in serious jeopardy, it can even shrink the frontal lobes of your brain and can progress to permanent brain damage, causing dementia. Here we suggest you party hard, but don’t forget your health. Remember, you matter the most!
