A sound sleep is one of the basic necessities of our lives. From playing a vital role in good health and well being to the distressing brain, improper sleep affects our body in numerous ways. Experts claim that how you feel and behave while you are awake actually depends in part on what happens while you’re sleeping.
If you have been behaving rudely for the past several days without knowing the reason behind this attitude, running sleep deficient can be one of it. Research claims that if you’re sleep deficient, you may have trouble making decisions, solving problems, controlling your emotions and behaviour, and coping with changes. Thus, if you find yourself awake while the whole world is dozing off, it’s time to get into action and address the issue. But how? Fret not. Here is a list of things which people usually do to get a good sleep.
Warm shower with essential oils: Soothing fragrance works as a relaxant to brain and body. Thus, taking a shower in warm water with a few drops of essential oils can work wonders.
Bed is meant for sleeping: Avoid eating or working when you are in bed. Make your mind to think that the bed is exclusively for sleeping and perform all your tasks away from it.
Read to relax: Pick up some soothing and soft novel that can take your mind off all the tension and will help you to sleep.
Write to express: writing relieves your brain and makes the one feel calm. Thus, penning down will help you get relaxed and you will be able to sleep properly.
Set a time frame for self: Fix a schedule for yourself and follow that as a habit. Just choose a time slot and dedicate it to sleep, while keeping all chores of the day aside. For example, dedicate 10pm-6am as your sleeping hours, and during these hours just put your phone in sleep mode and shut yourself from every other activity.
