Rajkumar Rao starrer Trapped is this week’s one of the Bollywood releases. A thriller film, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, Trapped is produced by Phantom Films. Here are the three things that make this film a good watch for this weekend:

Rajkumar Rao’s stellar performance

Rajkumar Rao once again emerges as a stellar performer in Trapped. Story aside, his portrayal of the character named Shaurye is as realistic as it can get. A man who works a 9-5 job, eager to get married, buys a flat at the 35th floor of a barren building in Mumbai. What happens next leaves him helpless but makes him a stronger human being in the end.

Duration

The duration of the film at 107 minutes is too concrete and just apt for a film like Trapped. The story gives you an adrenaline rush and you set on a journey with a man who is fighting for survival. The film is a thriller and the one which keeps you glued to your seat.

Realism

From its setting in Mumbai to how its characters have been designed, director Vikramaditya Motwane has made sure Trapped looks all real. No songs, no drama but a story which challenges your wit to explore what would you have done had you been there in place of Shaurye.

Trapped has a different cinematic experience and the kind which hasn’t yet been explored a lot in Hindi cinema. If you really want to watch something gruesome, challenging, smart, intelligent and something which serves a different kind of entertainment, Trapped is for you.
