All-Women Commando Unit To Fight Naxal Extremism In Chhattisgarh

This team of 30 women commandos will fight left-wing extremism in Chhattisgarh’s red corridor. Called the Danteshwari Ladake,
this all-women anti-naxal unit has been deployed in Bastar & Dantewada districts. The team includes 10 former naxals
who had surrendered to the police. These women commandos are trained in jungle combat. They were earlier a part of the ‘short action teams’ that took down 3 naxal commanders in April.
