The Indian Test captain has made it a habit, a habit that is highly enviable. He becomes the first skipper to slam three double hundreds as a captain in one season. What a feat!
He has been in this kind of form for some time now. Some websites are even considering hiring a stats person, just to keep a tab of the records Virat breaks every time he walks out to bat.
With this double ton against Bangladesh, he also makes it to the elite list of players who have centuries against all Test playing nations. Simply superb!
He just takes the ‘wow’ element to the next degree, literally!
This double was also achieved at a great pace, he scored 204 off 246 balls at a blistering strike rate (Considering it is a Test) of 82.92. His innings was studded with 24 boundaries, before finally getting out to a beautiful straighter ball from Taijul Islam.
