Sandhya Marawi is breaking a centuries-old tradition because she’s probably India’s first and only woman coolie. In a job synonymous with men, Sandhya is an exception. She works at a railway station in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. But there’s a tragedy behind her choice of becoming a coolie. Her husband who was also a coolie died in October 2016. With three children to take care of, Sandhya took her husband’s job in January and she’s clearly nailing it.
