Mumbai’s Famous Britannia & Co Owner Passes Away At 97

Boman Rashid Kohinoor, Mumbai’s iconic Parsi restaurant Britannia & Co’s owner passed away at 97 on September 25 due to cardiac illness. Kohinoor was famous for his hospitality. The restaurant, which was started by his father in 1923 was immensely popular both for serving excellent Parsi cuisine in a vintage and colonial setting and Kohinoor’s warmth towards his customers

The other thing he was famous for?

His love for the British Royal family! In April 2016, Prince William and Kate Middleton visited Mumbai and met him at The Taj Mahal Palace. The restaurant’s patrons, both celebrity and other have taken to the Internet to pay their respects.
