Actress Taapsee Pannu will be seen with Varun Dhawan and Jacqueline Fernandez in Judwaa 2. The news broke in when Varun tweeted about the same. Judwaa 2, a David Dhawan and Sajid Nadiadwala film is a sequel to 1997 Salman Khan film — Judwaa. While the rest of the cast is yet to be announced, this is for the first time Varun have been paired with Taapsee and Jacqueline.
While both Varun and Jacqueline have worked together in Dishoom, it was John who was paired with Jacqueline romantically in the film. We talked to Taapsee about how excited she is for Judwaa 2 and she told us that it’s like life has come as full circle for her. She said:
It’s like coming back to your home ground because I started with David sir (David Dhawan)’s Chashme Baddoor in Bollywood. I think my Bollywood career is going back in circle. Because every director I’ve worked with has repeated me in films. And it was just David sir who was left. I worked with Neeraj sir (Neeraj Pandey) in Baby and then he repeated me in Naam Shabana. Shoojit sir worked with me in Pink and now I am working with David sir in Judwaa 2.

Elaborating around her character, Taapsee mentioned that even she is unaware about the complete details of her role in Judwaa 2 but she’s confident of it. She also mentioned that this film is like a fresh air for her. She said:
They are not same characters. It’s part 2 and the characters will not be similar to the previous part. They are all revamped characters. I think we should just wait for further announcements. I also don’t know exactly what I am going to do. For me, it is just totally different from something what I’ve been doing so far. It is just a nice breather for me to do all the singing and dancing, because I have not been doing that in Bollywood. I just take it as a break from my intense roles that I have been doing on screen.
We’re also excited to see Taapsee doing a not-so-serious character on screen in Judwaa 2. Directed by David Dhawan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film is slated to hit the screens on 29 September, next year.
