Remember that iconic scene from Hum Saath Saath Hain where the new bride, Sadhana (Tabu) insists that the family go for a holiday together? “Rampur Chale” she quips. We have a feeling a similar scene must have played out the Canadian version of White House when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s India visit was being planned. What else will explain this.

Trudeau and his family clearly channeled their inner Prems, Nishas and Sadhanas before this trip. Which is why, even after being cold-shouldered by our Prime Minister, they have the sanskar to pose for this picture.
Here is Trudeau demonstrating the famous Barjatya diktat, ‘family that poses in front of Taj Mahal together, stays together’.
Or the Tiranga song and dance show done for him in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
Look at Trudeau perfectly timing that swing.
We wish, after these efforts India and Canada could sing this
Hum Saath Saath Hai
But alas, we are left saying.
