Your heart may go gutur gutur at the mention of 1990s, but let’s not kid ourselves. The 1990s saw some serious sacrileges being committed in the name of art. And we are not even talking about Raja Babu and Andaaz.

The decade holds the dubious distinction of making ear worms out of sounds that are best-suited for your potty room. That too when you have a gassy stomach.

Here’s a list that will play with your sanity:

1) Hai Hukku Hai Hukku Hai Hai from Gopi Kishan (1994)

If you thought the sight of Suniel Shetty using Karisma Kapoor’s dupatta as an aerial ribbon was weird.

We ask you to spare some thoughts for the choreographer, probably Chinni Prakash, who had to invent steps for things song.

2) Dil mera churane laga..Chikli chum chum from Angrakshak (1995)

Pooja Bhatt dances in the rain as she announces that Sunny Deol has stolen her heart. This statement translates to chikli chum chum of course.

3) Humba Leela Humba Leelo from Hera Pheri (2000)

Suniel Shetty, Paresh Rawal and Akshay Kumar are drunk in this song from Hera Pheri. Which might be the only logical explanation for the lyrics.

4) Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara from Judwaa (1997)

Before asking the girl out on a 9-12 movie date, the writer thought to set the mood with Tan Tana Tan Tan Tan Tara. So much creativity!

5) Main Ladki Po Po Po from Hera Pheri (2000)

Another gem of a song featuring Suniel Shetty, this time opposite Tabu. Tabu was given the task of making Shetty fall for her and ended up talking about her existence with syllable Po Po Po at the end. Why?

6) Tu Tu Tu Ta Ra from Bol Radha Bol (1992)

Todo naa dil humara! It is impossible to not sing the next words which come after Tu Tu Tu Tu Tara from Bol Radha Bol. But we feel the plea for not to break heart could have been better phrased.

7) Tun Tunak Tun from Hera Pheri (2000)

The background dancers in this song were dressed as tribals, and the aforementioned words were followed by Kya Kehti Hai Meri Aankhein Deewane Mere Sun.

8) Tuna Tuna Tak Tak Tuna from Adharm (1992)

The obsession with Tun word during the 90’s is something which needs to be decoded by great minds. In this song, Sanjay Dutt danced along with his gang on the streets of Mumbai, and the result was headache inducing.

10) Boi Boi from Laadla (1994)

In this song from Laadla, Anil Kapoor showed his latkas and jhatkas, but the meaning of the song is something we can never understand.

11) Ole Ole from Yeh Dillagi (1994)

Though a regular at dance clubs even today, what we don’t understand is how Saif Ali Khan’s heart would possibly go Ole Ole after seeing a girl. Doesn’t Ole mean hailstone? If a girl invokes such feelings in Saif Ali Khan there is something wrong with his heart.
