This polling booth in east Sikkim’s 21-Gnathang Machong constituency is making headlines for all the right reasons.
As the first phase of Lok Sabha elections kicked off on Thursday, and a video of voters standing in a serpentine line to vote at this polling booth situated at an altitude of 13,400 feet, has since then gone viral.
The video shows voters braving the cold and snow and standing in a long queue at a polling booth in 21-Gnathang Machong, which is situated near Nathu La pass. With 288 registered voters, this booth reportedly recorded a high turnout.
