Jumping out of your vehicle, dancing on the roads and quickly getting back in is definitely not a good idea. But, Dharavi boys, Surah Gautam, Abdul Yusuf and Kanhaiya Kumar thought it will be fun to do the famous KiKi challenge on the footboard of a local train. Much to their dismay, it backfired and the trio got arrested.
The trio tried to pull off the challenge at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on July 29, hoping to become famous and earn some quick bucks. A video featuring the three performing the challenge was uploaded on YouTube on July 30, reported Hindustan Times. The video went viral leading to their arrest under the section 144 of the Railway Act.

On Tuesday afternoon, the three were produced in front of the metropolitan magistrate. The young men got lucky when the magistrate acquitted them after they promised to make another KiKI video, but this time, spreading awareness about its dangerous results.
The court observed that the three did it for immediate publicity, reports HT.
“It appears from the conduct of the accused that they have done this act for immediate publicity. They have fallen prey to the present day trend of getting publicity by doing something different. The accused have contended that they have prepared an awareness video clip to desist from the dangerous Kiki challenge. The accused are called upon to do the needful in making the public aware regarding the possible danger the challenge poses and also about the penal action that comes post violation of provisions of law.”
Senior RPF divisional security commissioner Sachin Bhalode while speaking on how they located the origin of the video, told Times of India,
“The cyber police station at BKC helped us locate the place from where the video was uploaded. Police found that the video in which the three youngsters were found performing the challenge had been uploaded from their personal computers from their Dharavi homes. The team arrested the trio with the help of server addresses.”
