Cheteshwar Pujara got runout off the first ball of his innings in the 2nd Test at Centurion and that has put India in trouble at 28 for 2. India also lost KL Rahul, who is in the team in place of Shikhar Dhawan who departed after scoring 10 runs. He chipped the ball back to Morne Morkel who took the catch safely on his follow through. All of this happened after India bundled out South Africa for 335 runs in the first innings. For South Africa, Markram was the highest scorer with 94 runs. For India, Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers, scalping 4 wickets.

But what took the Indian fans by surprise on Day 2 was how India’s number 3 Cheteshwar Pujara was dismissed. Pujara, who has a tendency of playing marathon knocks, was eager to get off-the-mark but, in the process, fell victim to a runout. Pujara pushed the first ball to the leg side where debutante Ngidi was positioned. Ngidi took two steps to his right, picked up the ball and in one motion, hit the stumps directly. What made the runout special was the fact that Ngidi had just one stump to aim at and he hit the bullseye.

As we speak, India is at 52 for 2 with Virat Kohli doing the counter-punch, and giving him company is Murali Vijay.
