Former Australian wicketkeeper-batsman Adam Gilchrist congratulate his Indian counterpart Mahendra Singh Dhoni after the former Indian captain surpassed his record to become second-highest scoring wicketkeeper in ODI history. MS Dhoni achieved this feat during the third One Day International against the West Indies on June 30 in Antigua. MS Dhoni scored 78 runs off 79 balls.
With this 78-run knock, MS Dhoni became the 2nd wicket-keeper in the world to score most number of fifties in his international career after Kumara Sangakkara. He is also the only Indian wicket-keeper to do so.
Following this, Adam Gilchrist upload a picture on his official Instagram account to congratulate MS Dhoni. In his post he wrote: “Congrats on passing me young fella. Was always a matter of time. #msd #2ndhighest #keepers.”
Team India is currently leading the five match ODI series 2-1 against the the young West Indian side. They lost the 4th ODI by 11 runs. They will next face West Indies on June 6.
