After Sri Lankan players wearing masks during the Delhi Test became the talking point this week, Comilla Victorians’ overseas player Hasan Ali was seen wearing a mask while fielding against Sylhet Sixers at Shere Bangla Stadium in Mirpur.
According to media reports, Ali, however, didn’t use the mask due to pollution or smog but because of a minor asthma attack. While speaking to the media after the match, Comilla Victorians team manager said,
“Hasan Ali was suddenly attacked by asthma during the play. He even came out of the field for a while. He went back to the field after he was given medicines.”

The young Pakistani speedster scored 35 runs and went on to take two important wickets – Shabbir Rahman and Sohail Tanveer – for his team during the game. Th Victorians batted first and set a tough target of 171 runs. In return, the Sylhet Sixers could only score 145 runs in 20 overs after losing 7 wickets and lost the game by 25 runs.

The Victorians are leading the table who have won 9 matches out of 12 and lost 3. They have 18 points in their kitty. Dhaka Dynamites, Khulna Titans and Rangapur Riders are the next leaders in the points tally.

As the table toppers, the Victorians are going to play Dhaka Dynamites on December 8 while Khulna Titans will play Rangpur Riders in the eliminator on the same day.
