Pakistani batsman Ahmed Shehzad often gets embroiled in controversies and ends up getting trolled online. This time he surprised everyone with his rude behaviour off the field. The incident happened when Shehzad was walking out after Day 3 of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy final in Karachi. A fan approached Shehzad for a selfie, walking beside him, but apparently, the Pakistani opener did not like this gesture at all. Shehzad threw the fan’s phone and pushed him away. The 25-year-old could have just said not to his fan politely but he resorted to violent actions against his fan for taking a selfie without permission.
Shehzad has been often called a ‘selfie boy’ by Pakistani fans on Twitter as he posts selfies of himself on the internet every other day. It seems a bit harsh the way he behaved with his fan irrespective of the fact that he did not seek his permission before taking a selfie.
The video, which was posted by a Pakistani cricket writer Farhan Nisar on Twitter, has gone viral. There were mixed responses to the video as a few Twitterati condemned the incident while others bashed the journalist and criticised him for his previous tweets against the batsman. This incident of the cricketer being enraged comes to light after the English all-rounder Ben Stokes was recently arrested and put on hold for selection until further notice ahead of the Ashes 2017-18.

Keeping his recent performances in mind, Shehzad seems to be in form. Even though he did not get selected in the Pakistan Test squad against Sri Lanka in the ongoing series, the Pakistani opener did well in the Independence Cup 2017 against World XI and played a match-winning knock in the final. Though he got trolled for his performances in the previous matches of the tournament for not scoring at a better rate.
