Arjun Tendulkar, son of Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar, grabbed the limelight during Team India’s training session in London where Virat Kohli-led ‘Men in Blue’ were training at the Merchants Taylor school cricket ground near Moore Park.
Arjun Tendulkar, who was picked in India’s U-19 squad for the Sri Lanka tour, was one of the net bowlers during the practice session. The left-arm pacer was seen bowling to Indian batsmen like MS Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan and others.
While bowling in the nets, Tendulkar surprised Virat Kohli with a bouncer as the Indian captain tried to pull the delivery but failed to make a contact with a ball.
Earlier, Tendulkar, who is also a batsman, was picked for the four-day matches against Sri Lanka. The team is scheduled to play two four-day matches in Sri Lanka in July.
Tendulkar also attended the training camp at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamsala. The camp was arranged by the National Cricket Academy.
After the session, Indian coach Ravi Shastri was also spotted sharing some tips with the young talent. BCCI on their Twitter handle shared a picture of the Indian coach and Tendulkar Jr and they captioned it as:
