The International Cricket Council (ICC) on July 24 announced the schedule for 2018 Asia Cup to be played in the UAE from September 15 to September 28.
The 14th edition of Asia Cup will feature two groups with three teams each. While India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan have got direct entries into the tournament, Hong Kong won the final of Asia Cup 2018 qualifiers to make it into the tournament.
Group A consists of India, Pakistan and Hong Kong while Group B comprises Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 4 round and two teams will then play the final on September 28 in Dubai.

According to the schedule, India will play two ODIs on consecutive days, including the game against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 19. Both the teams last met in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final held in England.
