It seems Bangladesh can finally be included in the big boys of cricket. The team seems to have mastered the art of sledging as we saw when Tamim Iqbal gave Matthew Wade a send-off. The current Bangladeshi team can no more be considered as underdogs or the minnows. Bangladesh stunned the world by defeating Australia by 20 runs in the first Test. It was a see-saw battle where the hosts upstaged the mighty visitors, Australia. This victory should go a long way in giving confidence to Bangladesh, who also finished in the top four in the recently concluded ICC Champions Trophy.
Australia had to chase a score of 265 and looked to romp victory home when the score was 158 for 2. That is when Shakib-al-Hasan changed the match’s tide by scalping the ever-so-dangerous David Warner and Steven Smith and reduced the visitors to 171 for 4. Soon they were 5 down when Peter Handscomb was dismissed with the score at 187.
But the episode that caught our attention was when Matthew Wade, who walked in at 7, was dismissed for 4. He seemed to take his own sweet time to leave the field. That is when we saw an agitated Tamim Iqbal furiously asked him to leave the field. It was strange to see Tamim Iqbal behave in such a manner, as such behaviour is expected from the visitors who are masters at sledging but to see a Bangladeshi do it was surprising.

In the video, you can see Tamim Iqbal asking Matthew Wade to leave the field of play.
When Shakib was asked about this incident, he said, “Australians are very good at it, we are learning from them,” ESPNcricinfo quoted Shakib, when asked about the verbal volleys: “After this Test match, they will show a lot more respect.”
With Australia trailing 0-1, the visitors would look forward to makeing a strong come back.
